My name is Peter Petrify and I am a rock, gem and mineral collector. I have been doing this since I was eight years old when I used to find some awesome looking rocks in my backyard (we lived on acreage).
When I was a teenager I used to ride my bike to the local quarries to see what interesting and unique finds I would make. My best find was usually quartz.
Now I like to visit local markets and see what others have collected, bought and sell. I still like to hike with my family and take amateur pictures of rock formations and seek out some unique stones. My passion has been passed along to my daughters who also like to search.
